The Clinical Staff Pharmacist assists the Department Director in providing specialized pharmaceutical services, including advising physicians on matters pertaining to drug usage and control within assigned hospital locations, and participates in the development and delivery of clinical services and continuing education programs for pharmacy, patient care services, medical staff, and students/residents.
What You Will Need- Graduate of an ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy with a BS Pharmacy degree or Pharm.
D. Currently licensed to practice pharmacy in the state of Ohio. - Hospital/clinical pharmacy practice experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision. Ability to work cooperatively with pharmacy staff, hospital staff, and physicians.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule.
- Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written).
- Ability to set priorities, make critical decisions and respond quickly to emergency requests. Fosters a team environment by providing orientation and training to new team members. Punctual attendance at assigned work location is required.
- Required to work in a safe and efficient manner and maintain an accident free work place, including ability to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency codes.
- Required to comply with OSHA regulations and CDC standard and transmission-based precaution recommendations and to utilize proper personal protective equipment. Ability to comply with provisions of applicable S.D.S. forms.
- Required to achieve all departmental goals and competencies while actively contributing to the department’s ongoing strategic initiatives.
