We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate COTA
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
to join our team at Gables Care Center in Hopedale, OH. As a valued member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in helping our residents achieve their maximum potential in a supportive and caring environment.

About the Role:

As a COTA
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
, you will work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to design and implement individualized treatment plans that promote independence, mobility, and overall well-being for our residents. Your expertise will help our residents regain strength, improve cognitive function, and enhance their overall quality of life.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of treatment plans for residents

  • Conduct daily assessments and evaluations to monitor resident progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed

  • Provide individualized therapy sessions, including exercises, activities, and education to promote resident independence and functional abilities

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and coordination of services

  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of resident progress and treatment plans

Requirements:

  • Current certification as a COTA (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) in the state of Ohio

  • Completion of an associate's degree in occupational therapy from an accredited institution

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and to transfer residents safely and effectively

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with flexibility and adaptability
