Optometrist

Bluegrass Vision Care Network is seeking a patient-focused Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye care, including routine eye exams, contact lens fittings, and diagnosis and management of ocular disease. You will work with modern diagnostic technology to evaluate visual function, prescribe lenses, and co-manage medical eye conditions such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and dry eye. In this collaborative, locally focused practice, you'll partner with experienced providers and support staff to deliver high-quality, compassionate care, educate patients, and maintain accurate clinical documentation while contributing to a culture of integrity and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams and refractions for patients of all ages
• Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and acute eye conditions
• Fit, prescribe, and manage contact lenses and eyewear
• Interpret diagnostic tests such as OCT, fundus photos, and visual fields
• Provide patient education on vision care, eye health, and treatment plans
• Document all findings and care plans in the electronic health record accurately
• Collaborate with other eye care providers and medical professionals for co-management
• Prescribe and manage therapeutic medications in accordance with state law
• Participate in practice quality initiatives and continuing education activities
• Support a patient-first, team-oriented clinical environment
