Unlocking Potential Therapies, LLC (UP) is an occupational therapy practice based in Ohio, dedicated to serving adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system. We are dedicated to the wellbeing and occupational balance for our staff, as much as we are for our clients. Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated, independent, and compassionate Mental Health Occupational Therapist (OTR) to join our team. This is a part-time or full-time, on-site role, located in northeast Ohio. The therapist will focus on providing individualized treatment plans, running groups, conducting therapeutic interventions, facilitating multisensory opportunities for residents, collaborating with other professionals, and supporting adolescents involved in the juvenile justice system.

The role requires a commitment to fostering positive mental health outcomes and strong therapeutic and professional relationships.

Qualifications

  • Skills in independent Treatment Planning and Case Management to create, implement, and monitor individualized care plans that are mental/behavioral health focused and holistic.
  • Expertise in Mental/Behavioral Health to address diverse psychological and emotional challenges among adolescents.
  • Comfort with intervention targets including emotional regulation, sensory modulation, compensatory cognitive training, executive functioning, social skill building, life skill support, and more occupation-centered treatment approaches.
  • Strong interpersonal, trauma-informed, and communication skills to build rapport and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Master’s or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy, with licensure as a Licensed Occupational Therapist in Ohio.
  • Experience working with at-risk youth or individuals is highly desirable.
  • Commitment to ethical practice, cultural sensitivity, and professional development.
