Position Summary:

The psychiatric prescriber will provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services at Columbus Behavioral Health, a large group practice launched in 2014. Columbus Behavioral Health is an association of independently licensed mental health providers affiliated with the Ohio Health Clinically Integrated Network. As such, this provider will work primarily independently, while participating on a bi-weekly consultation team and/or consulting with other providers in the practice as well as with other psychiatric prescribers to provide psychiatric services to adult and youth patients with behavioral health issues.

The psychiatric prescriber can work out of either our Dublin or Westerville office;, remote, hybrid or in-person, as the provider prefers.

Job Requirements and

Qualifications:

Minimum Required

Education:
  • Master’s or Doctorate Degree from a state-certified advance practice program specializing in psychiatry
Minimum

Required Experience:
  • At least 2 years providing direct client care to persons receiving treatment for psychiatric disorders, ability to work with both children and adults
Preferred Experience:
  • 3+ years of post-graduate experience as a psychiatric provider
  • Experience in telemedicine
Licenses/Certifications:
  • An unrestricted license to practice in the state of Ohio
  • Must have a valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in Ohio
  • A state-issued Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) in Ohio
  • No suspension/exclusion/debarment from participation in federal health care programs (e.g. Medicare)
Other

Skills Required:
  • Must return admin and patient calls/emails promptly (within 24 hours of receipt or sooner if clinically necessary), even on days when you are not seeing CBH patients
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, client-centered care
  • Able to document and navigate EHR independently
  • Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work effectively on multidisciplinary team
  • Must possess the ability to make independent decisions
  • Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to work productively and make independent decisions.
