Overview

Are you looking for a job at a company that values you and understands what it means to be a caregiver and advocate? TLC is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to assist individuals with disabilities in living their best lives. The role focuses on helping individuals develop meaningful relationships and participate in the community, with a commitment to movement from guests to valued community members in Medina County.

As a full-time Direct Support Professional, you will spend 32+ hours each week assisting individuals with all aspects of their lives, including everyday activities and household routines. Many individuals may have limited or nonverbal communication, so DSPs need to be patient, active listeners who can interpret actions and nonverbal cues to support understanding.

We encourage staff to think creatively, plan collaboratively with coworkers and Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professionals (QIDP) to add information to the Individual Plan, and help individuals design their Best Life. Our management team welcomes questions and feedback as we continually evaluate policies and practices.

TLC has been recognized by the American Health Care Association for excellence in care, earning Bronze and Silver Quality awards. The organization emphasizes ongoing training for staff, with in-house development and the use of the Ohio Alliance for Direct Support Professional (OADSP) curriculum for new hire training.
