Job Description:

As a member of the Health Care Team, under the direction of the Attending physician, provides technical assistance by scrubbing andor monitoring a variety of Cardiac/ Vascular and Neuro diagnostic and interventional procedures. Participates in maintenance of lab equipment, materials, supplies, and ordering processes.

• Knowledgeable about patient safety and quality of care issues.
  
  Able to recognize safety issues in the department and handles incidents per institutional and/or departmental policies and procedures. If safety issues were identified; all issues were handled timely and appropriately.
• Department education and training focus has a direct impact onpatient safety and reduces unsafe working conditions for employees.
• Employee attends and follows all department specific safety education and training in an effort to create a safe work environment.
• 1. Recognizes Frayed Cord:
• Reports equipment dysfunction in timely manner.
• Make sure alternate process is in place and action is taken.
• Reduces adverse results or impact to patient care and the employee.
• 2. Recognize exposure to Blood:
• Worked as a team to limit exposure and create a safe work environment.
• Safety concerns:
  The manager has been timely with staff training and education.
• Wiping up spills.
• 3. Follows standardized approach for handoff communication
• Follows policy and Standard of Care for communication including the opportunity to ask and respond to questions

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualifications/Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Indicate minimum required to qualify or perform this job.)

Required Education/Experience/Licensing:

• 1) Satisfactory completion of formal radiological technology training in an AMA-approved school.
• 2) Must be licensed in the State of Ohio
• 3) ARRT registered.
• 4) Assume on-call responsibilities.
• 6) Must hold current CPR certification.
• 7)
  
  Physical requirements:
  • a) visual acuity of 20/20 or corrected to 20/20 including color vision when applicable;
  • b) ability to hear (with or without aides)
  • c) ability to orally communicate
  • d) good manual dexterity
  • e) ability to push, pull, roll, and transfer/lift 50 pounds occasionally
  • f) ability to stand, walk frequently
  • g) ability to bend, reach, stoop, kneel frequently; and
  • h) ability to perform CPR (if required for position).
