The Polysomnographic Technologist/RCP is a certified professional specializing in sleep studies and respiratory therapy, with expertise in conducting and scoring sleep tests per AASM standards. They collaborate with leadership to ensure high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services in the Sleep Lab.
Key responsibilities include patient assessment, evaluation, and treatment of sleep disorders, such as polysomnography, EEG, MSLT/MWT, and application of oxygen, CPAP/BiPAP, and ventilators. They manage airway devices, perform blood gas sampling, and educate patients and families.
The role involves calibration, troubleshooting diagnostic equipment, and implementing new test modalities. The technologist also oversees supply inventory, mentors staff, and supervises new technicians, providing coverage as needed.
Shift details:
Night shift (7:30 pm – 7 am), 7 nights per week, with a sign-on bonus available. Requirements include an Ohio Respiratory Care Professionals License and an Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy.
