We’re Hiring Bartenders – Off-site Catering Events
Railtown Catering is looking for professional, confident, and service-driven Bartenders to join our Off-site Event Team. These part-time positions are ideal for hospitality professionals who enjoy working in dynamic event environments and take pride in delivering exceptional beverage service.

As a Bartender, you will work under the direction of the Event Manager to execute mobile bar service at off-site catering events - overseeing setup, beverage preparation, and guest interaction while maintaining Railtown’s standards of professionalism and presentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and tear down mobile bar service according to client specifications
- Prepare bar tables, organize glassware, chill beverages, and prepare cocktails efficiently
- Assist with loading and unloading beverage products and equipment from catering vehicles
- Provide professional, engaging customer service to clients and guests
- Ensure proper presentation and organization of all beverage service areas throughout the event
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar during service
- Support the Event Manager and team to ensure smooth and timely execution
- Adapt to varying event environments with a positive and team-oriented attitude
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of bartending or food and beverage experience (catering, hotel, or restaurant environment)
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Serving It Right certification
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work efficiently and maintain composure in fast-paced environments
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Valid BC driver’s license is an asset, but not required
Role Details
- Part-time position (approximately 10-20 hours per week)
- Average shift length: 6-10 hours
- Must be available a minimum of 2 days per week (1 weekday + 1 weekend day, or 2 weekend days)
- Schedule includes daytime, evenings, holidays, and on-call shifts
- Hourly wage starting at $18 per hour (based on experience) + cash gratuities (typically $10-20 per hour)
