Responsibilities- Support the site Human Resources function in deploying HR policies, programs, and initiatives including employment, compensation, employee relations, training, talent acquisition, and development.
- Administer, interpret, and enforce all Company and HR policies and procedures.
- Champion culture initiatives.
- Address and resolve wage and hour issues and compliance.
- Maintain and update job descriptions and HR forms as necessary.
- Assist with employee benefit administration and enrollment.
- Support daily employee-related activities and processes to promote positive employee relations.
- Conduct new employee orientation.
- Conduct recruiting activities, including sourcing, scheduling interviews, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Manage college recruitment and internship programs with local universities.
- Process employment and recruiting requisitions to ensure integrity in HR systems and accurate data entry.
- Conduct general or specific training sessions as needed.
- Provide counsel and support to resolve interpersonal conflicts and employee relations issues.
- Work with supervisors and managers on retention, performance management, and engagement strategies.
- Manage employee rewards and recognition program.
- Maintain compliance with federal and state employment regulations.
- Maintain employee personnel and benefit files, including electronic files.
- Create and analyze HR reports to provide actionable data.
- Assist with other HR duties and projects as necessary.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR issues and communications.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems and payroll functions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and positively influence.
- Positive attitude and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Professional image when interacting with internal and external customers.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Labor Relations experience is a plus.
