Job Description
The Vice President, Talent Acquisition is responsible for leading Vertiv’s global talent acquisition strategy to support the company’s growth agenda. Reporting to the CHRO, this role integrates strategic workforce planning, talent market intelligence, and disciplined execution, while building a data‑driven, performance‑oriented Talent Acquisition function. This leader will partner closely with senior and executive leadership to translate business priorities into forward‑looking talent strategies and ensure consistent, high‑quality execution across all hiring types — including volumetric, niche skill, executive, and early career hiring.
KeyExpectations for the Role
- Build a quantitatively driven TA function with real‑time, transparent reporting.
- Drive quality of hire and recruiter effectiveness tracking.
- Design and scale the TA operating model (sourcing, recruiting, AI, data, university partnerships).
- Deliver results in a fast‑paced, high‑growth, execution‑focused environment.
- Lead integration of Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) with Talent Acquisition, ensuring alignment with business growth, M&A, and capability needs.
- Translate workforce plans into hiring strategies, pipeline plans, and sourcing priorities.
- Partner with HRBPs and Finance to align hiring with budget, productivity, and capacity planning.
- Build forward‑looking talent demand forecasting models.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior and executive leadership on talent strategy and hiring decisions.
- Partner closely with HRBPs, business leaders, and Finance to align hiring with workforce plans and ensure hiring supports cost and productivity targets.
- Lead global Talent Acquisition strategy and delivery across regions and functions.
- Ensure timely and high‑quality hiring execution aligned to business priorities.
- Drive consistency in recruiting processes, tools, and governance.
- Oversee critical and senior hiring, ensuring strong talent outcomes.
- Build a quantitative, metrics‑driven TA function with clear accountability.
- Establish real‑time dashboards and transparent reporting across key hiring metrics.
- Track and continuously improve quality of hire, recruiter effectiveness and productivity, hiring speed, cost, and pipeline health.
- Integrate talent market intelligence into hiring strategy and workforce planning.
- Build and develop a high‑performing TA organization aligned with Vertiv’s growth needs.
- Shift TA from transactional execution to strategic partnership with the business.
- Define and implement clear operating rhythms, governance, and accountability.
- Drive adoption of best practices and continuous improvement.
- Leverage and optimize platforms such as Oracle Recruiting Cloud (ORC).
- Drive process simplification, automation, and standardization.
- Ensure strong data integrity and alignment with HR systems (census, reporting).
- 15+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or HR leadership roles;
Talent acquisition experience preferred. - Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience leading global complex organizations.
- Strong experience partnering with senior and executive leadership.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into execution.
- High level of action orientation and ability to operate in fast‑paced environments.
- Demonstrated ability to build and operate a metrics‑driven, quantitative function.
- Experience leveraging data, analytics, and technology to drive outcomes.
