Location: Boston Heights

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary day‑to‑day HR contact for employees and supervisors, providing responsive support and guidance on HR–related questions and concerns.
  • Partner with the HR Manager to implement HR programs, policies, and initiatives, ensuring consistent application across the workforce.
  • Provide guidance to employees and leaders on policies, benefits, and leave processes; elevate complex or high‑risk issues to the HR Manager as appropriate.
  • Support a positive employee experience by addressing concerns promptly, reinforcing fair practices, and fostering open communication.
  • Assist the HR Manager with employee relations matters, including gathering information, documentation, and participating in investigations as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws and company policies by maintaining accurate records and following established processes.
  • Maintain and update employee data in HR systems, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and data integrity.
  • Administer benefits processes, including enrollments, changes, and employee education, while supporting employees in understanding their options.
  • Support attendance and leave administration processes, ensuring proper tracking, documentation, and alignment with policy.
  • Assist with workers’ compensation coordination and workplace safety efforts in collaboration with the HR Manager and leadership.
  • Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics to support the HR Manager in decision‑making and compliance tracking.
  • Support onboarding and training coordination to help new and existing employees succeed.
  • Communicate HR updates, programs, and changes clearly and consistently to employees.
  • Exercise sound judgment in identifying issues, proactively addressing routine matters, and escalating concerns when needed.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR processes and employee support practices.
  • Regular and predictable performance of job duties.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of employee coaching, counseling, and training practices.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM‑CP, SHRM‑SCP, PHR, or SPHR).
Skills & Competencies
  • Strong organizational skills with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with a high sense of urgency and meet deadlines.
  • Effective time management and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to create reports, presentations, and other business documentation.
  • Capable of leading meetings and delivering presentations to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment in handling confidential information in compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Work Environment &

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends, based on business demands.
  • Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per day in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to frequently perform fine motor tasks (e.g., keyboarding).
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to perform standard office functions, including prolonged sitting, computer use, and filing.
  • Required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety glasses and closed‑toe/closed‑heel shoes.
  • Must adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
