Reporting to the Director of HR Operations, the Training & Engagement Specialist supports team member development at JACK Thistledown Racino and JACK Cleveland Casino by delivering training programs, presentations, and engagement initiatives.
Essential Functions
Training
- Facilitate training programs (orientation, leadership, compliance, job skills).
- Ensure completion of required training.
- Maintain training records and materials.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Schedule training sessions and manage training spaces.
- Track training in HR systems (HRIS).
- Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company standards.
- Promote professionalism, accuracy, and a culture of integrity.
Engagement
- Plan and execute team member programs, including:
- Recognition
- Community involvement
- Team events (holidays, town halls, etc.)
- Connect with team members and build relationships across all levels.
- Maintain a positive and approachable presence.
- Support internal communications (email, boards, social platforms).
- Ensure timely and accurate communication.
- Track engagement goals and measure success.
- Support team member recognition.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle team members concerns calmly and professionally.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to use office equipment.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 4+ years of training experience preferred.
- Experience developing and delivering training programs.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Leadership experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- High level of professionalism and integrity.
- Must be 21 or older.
Required Certification/License
- None required
High School or better.
