Job Description

We're looking for an HR Generalist Trainee to join our Human Resources team in Lisboa, Portugal. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to launch a career in human resources and gain hands-on experience across all core HR functions. You will work alongside experienced HR professionals, supporting the full employee lifecycle while developing a comprehensive understanding of HR operations, compliance, and best practices within our organization.

  • Assist with recruitment activities, including job posting distribution, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communication
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, including documentation preparation, orientation coordination, and system setup
  • Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Help coordinate employee relations activities, including benefits administration, leave management, and employee inquiries
  • Assist in organizing training programs and professional development initiatives
  • Support HR compliance activities and ensure adherence to employment regulations
  • Prepare HR reports and documentation as requested by senior HR staff
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including scheduling, filing, and general office management
  • Participate in HR projects and special initiatives to gain exposure to various HR functions
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns in a professional and supportive manner
Qualifications
  • Bachelor degree Human Resources, Psychology or similar
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities in English;
    Portuguese language skills are a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR software systems
  • Solid understanding of HR fundamentals and employment practices
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to tasks
  • Interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse groups
  • Customer service orientation and supportive demeanor
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Preferred:
    Previous HR internship, HR coursework, or exposure to HR functions
  • Preferred:
    Familiarity with Portuguese labor laws and employment regulations
  • Preferred:
    Experience with HR information systems or HRIS platforms
