Key Responsibilities Payroll & Benefits Administration- Manage end-to-end semi-monthly payroll processing in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Serve as the point of contact for payroll and benefit inquiries from employees.
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, HSA, 401(k), leave programs, and open enrollment.
- Partner with vendors and brokers to ensure accuracy of benefits data and resolve discrepancies.
- Reconcile payroll and benefits deductions and support audits and reporting as needed.
- Coordinate full-cycle recruitment including job postings, resume screening, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
- Assist hiring managers with recruitment strategies and ensure a smooth candidate experience.
- Lead the onboarding process from offer letter through new hire orientation and systems setup.
- Partner with legal counsel to manage and maintain employee work authorization.
- Maintain immigration records and support compliance with immigration laws.
- Maintain HRIS and employee records ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Respond to employee inquiries related to policies, procedures, and workplace issues.
- Support performance management cycles and training initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
- Assist with internal HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3+ years of HR experience with demonstrated expertise in payroll and benefits administration.
- Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycor, etc.).
- Familiarity with U.S. immigration processes (H-1B, OPT/CPT, green cards).
- Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) is a plus.
