ScheduleFull‑time
Responsibilities- Compose and process personnel actions (epar).
- Prepare and update position descriptions.
- Maintain tables of organization.
- Schedule interviews and participate in preliminary screening and/or interviewing of applicants.
- Assist with preparing responses to requests for reasonable accommodation.
- Coordinate, track processes, approve and advise regarding performance evaluations.
- Assist with employee recognition and employee wellness programs.
- Review and recommend changes to institutional policies and procedures for compliance with HR rules and regulations.
- Assist employees with completion of off‑work paperwork (disability, workers’ compensation, child‑birth leave, military leave) and post leave requests in Kronos.
- Track and monitor off‑work claims.
- Process leave requests and advise employees regarding Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA).
- Process payroll for off‑work programs.
- Assist employees in identifying, completing and/or faxing forms and applications.
- Prepare Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) reports as needed.
- Assist personnel director or other administrative staff on special projects, assignments, and reports.
- Respond to routine correspondence from employees.
- Assist with gathering documentation for audits, grievances, lawsuits, and requests for public information.
- Maintain employee personnel and private files, ensuring retention and disposal per record‑retention schedules.
- Monitor OPERS electronic contributions.
- Coordinate data for ACA and other audits.
- Complete employment verifications, letters regarding wages for child support and deferred compensation forms.
- Assist in conducting orientation sessions for new employees.
- Represent agency/institution at HR meetings and/or trainings.
- Attend meetings, training sessions, and conferences.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- At least 2 years of experience in human resources.
- Or completion of an undergraduate core program in human resources, business, or public administration.
- Or 1 year of experience as Human Capital Management Associate, 64611.
- Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
