Overview
Applied Research Solutions is seeking a skilled Cloud Integration Engineer to integrate existing Go-based APIs/services and React components into secure defense prototype environments. This role focuses on connecting backend services, wrapping existing React UI npm modules, and ensuring custom environment requirements are properly understood, documented, and communicated to stakeholders.

Responsibilities- Connect and configure existing Go APIs/services within the ARS Cloud Environment.
- Understand and adapt to customer-specific infrastructure, deployment, and configuration requirements.
- Relay environment-specific needs and integration feedback to the maintainers of React UI modules.
- Maintain clear technical documentation for integrations, configurations, and workflows.
- Develop and maintain APIs, middleware, and automation scripts to enable secure data and application integration.
- Support cloud migration initiatives, including workload rehosting, refactoring, and re-platforming.
- Configure and optimize cloud-native services for networking, identity and access management, storage, and compute.
- Ensure integration solutions comply with enterprise security, compliance, and governance standards.
- Troubleshoot integration issues, perform root-cause analysis, and provide long-term remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud solutions with enterprise architecture and business needs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cloud technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
- Implement end-to-end tests to ensure stability and performance.
- Capacity to grow and develop new skills in response to emerging challenges.

- Must be a US citizen
- Active SECRET clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required.
- Proven experience in cloud integration, cloud engineering, or related roles.
- Hands-on expertise with Azure.
- Proficiency with integration tools and technologies (e.g., APIs, REST, SOAP, JSON, XML, messaging queues).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible, Cloud Formation, etc.).
- Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and identity management in cloud environments.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages (Python, Power Shell, Bash, etc.).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and collaboration abilities.
- MS Azure cloud certifications
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Knowledge of hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, and edge computing integration strategies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Cloud Watch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, etc.).
- Background in enterprise application integration (EAI) or data integration platforms.
- Strong experience with React 16.8+ and Type Script for frontend development.
- Proficiency in Go for backend service integration.
