About the Job:

Our organization is seeking a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Manager who can make a significant impact on client deliverables and consulting projects. Ideally, the candidate will possess a solid grasp of digital marketing principles, particularly SEO practices, and understand how these elements align with broader business goals. We are looking for self-motivated individuals who are highly organized, quick learners and have exceptional interpersonal skills.

SEO Managers are expected to lead strategies and initiatives, manage supporting resources, and collaborate effectively with clients and team members to deliver impactful results. The role involves managing a client portfolio, internal resources, and third-party vendors to execute a variety of projects. This role will also coach client service analysts and identify process enhancements and workflows that can unlock new avenues for efficiency and scalability within the client services team.

Responsibilities
  • Create comprehensive SEO-focused content strategies that incorporate core target keywords, address user needs, and support overall business objectives across different content formats. This includes but is not limited to the following bodies of work: competitive research, content topic ideation, and keyword ranking analysis.
  • Directly manage SEO content writers, establish editorial standards, and train teams on SEO best practices to ensure content aligns with SEO goals and client requirements.
  • Evaluate competitors' content strategies and keyword usage to identify gaps and opportunities.
  • Audit content on client websites to identify opportunities for optimizations, remove or redirect outdated content, and focus on future content production.
  • Generate reports and insights to show the impact of SEO initiatives.
  • Analyze ranking and crawl data to identify SEO opportunities and content coverage.
  • Work with web developers, technical SEOs, and internal and external stakeholders to implement SEO changes or publish new content on the client’s website.
  • Develop, manage, and refine content production processes as needed.
  • Stay up to date with current SEO trends.
Qualifications
  • BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or a similar field.
  • 5+ years experience in SEO.
  • Fluent in both German and English.
  • Experience working with enterprise businesses.
  • Technical SEO experience, including internal linking optimization, schema markup, CWV, and indexation health.
  • Strong proficiency with SEO tools such as Semrush, Surfer SEO, GA4, GSC, and Screaming Frog.
  • Experience creating content briefs.
  • Experience with international brands and localization.
  • Experience working on the German market.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive nature and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to analyze large datasets.
  • Self-motivated and action-oriented.
