Your Impact

As a Distribution Account Manager, you will lead and manage a key Cisco distributor in Germany, playing a critical role in driving Cisco’s growth through strategic distribution partnerships. Your responsibilities will include strengthening the relationship with the distributor/ partner, ensuring the effective nationwide execution of Cisco’s sales strategies, global distribution initiatives, and partner enablement programs. You will serve as the essential link between Cisco, the distributor, and its partner ecosystem—advocating a partner-first approach to maximize market impact and coverage across Germany.

Sales Execution
: quota setting & management, sales process optimization, performance management, sales enablement and forecasting accuracy.

Partner & Customer Engagement: Distribution & Partner development, customer relationships, joint planning, account mapping, customer advocacy.

Reporting & Strategic Planning: data-driven decision-making, KPI tracking, strategic planning, business reviews and territory & compensation planning.

Strategic Planning
: market analysis, cross-functional alignment, digital innovation & transformation, long-term vision

Minimum Requirements:

  • Several years of IT sales and partner/channel management experience, ideally in Channel Sales
  • Scenario planning, funnel management and forecasting experience
  • Deep understanding of the distribution business model and established relationships in the German partner ecosystem
  • Strong executive communication, customer-facing, and mentoring skills
  • Experience with complex technical solutions (cloud, managed services, IoT) and selling to executive management
  • Proven success in leading and coaching teams and delivering against ambitious sales targets
  • Fluency in German and English (C1 level, written and verbal)
  • Strong analytical, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of Cisco’s solution portfolio (Enterprise Networking, Collaboration, Security, Meraki, Data Center)
  • Background in software sales
  • Expertise in managing global distribution programs, platforms, and processes
  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, operations, and sales enablement teams
  • Strong team player, able to balance priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinking and financial acumen.
