About this Role

We are seeking a skilled Data Centre Network Operations Engineer to support and maintain global data centre network environments on a 24/7 basis. This role focuses on minimising the business impact of critical and complex network incidents by ensuring timely resolution, effective escalation, and clear communication. The individual will collaborate with geographically distributed teams and contribute to maintaining high availability, operational stability, and continuous improvement within large‑scale data centre networks.

What

you will do
  • Provide round‑the‑clock first‑level network operations support for global data centre environments.
  • Proactively manage and resolve network incidents raised through monitoring systems, customers, or internal teams within agreed SLAs.
  • Escalate incidents to second‑ and third‑line support teams or vendors when required, ensuring seamless handovers.
  • Participate in major incident management calls and provide timely, clear updates to stakeholders.
  • Support planned network activities, change management, and break‑fix actions to maintain infrastructure uptime.
  • Contribute to reducing repeat incidents by analysing root causes and collaborating on preventive actions.
  • Review, update, and enhance operational runbooks, procedures, and knowledge bases to improve resolution efficiency.
Who you are
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Have 3–5 years of experience supporting large data centre network environments.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Have hands‑on experience troubleshooting telco‑grade routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Possess working knowledge of routing, switching, and data centre networking technologies.
  • Have exposure to cloud concepts and environments (public or private) and an understanding of Agile and Dev Ops ways of working.
  • Hold relevant technical certifications such as CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS, NSX, AWS, or equivalent (desirable).
What's in it for you

Exposure to global, enterprise‑scale data centre environments with high visibility across senior leadership.

Opportunities to collaborate with diverse, international teams across multiple geographies.

A role that offers clear pathways into second‑line support and advanced network operations domains.

A supportive environment that values continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and operational excellence.

What skills you will learn
  • Advanced incident management and escalation handling in large‑scale, mission‑critical environments.
  • Deeper expertise in high‑end data centre networking and security technologies.
  • Practical experience in change management, operational resilience, and service stability.
  • Enhanced stakeholder communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
