You’ll work hands‑on with our Ellucian Banner ERP while helping guide the college’s transition toward stronger data governance, improved data quality, and a more analytics‑ready environment. DUTIESAND RESPONSIBILITIES (Non‑inclusive)
Primary Responsibilities:
Enterprise Systems and ERP Data Support
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Oracle SQL and PL/SQL code, including queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
- Provide operational support and enhancements for the Ellucian Banner ERP system, including configuration, data integrity troubleshooting, rule design, and user assistance.
- Serve as Banner administrator for Banner and related back‑end systems, including role design, access reviews, and audit support.
- Support and administer the Evisions platform (Argos, Form Fusion, Intelli Check), including report development, user provisioning, security configuration, scheduled job management, and server/application maintenance.
- Design and develop enterprise reports and data extracts to support academic, administrative, and compliance needs.
- Support and maintain existing custom applications and integrations; contribute to modernization or replacement of legacy solutions over time.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application, data, and integration issues in collaboration with technical and functional teams.
Data Governance and Analytics Enablement
- Lead or co‑lead the development and implementation of institutional data governance practices and stewardship models.
- Define and maintain authoritative data sources, enterprise data definitions, and reporting standards.
- Assist in the design and implementation of a centralized data warehouse or analytics repository.
- Establish data quality monitoring and validation processes.
- Partner with functional offices to align reporting needs with governed data assets.
- Support data security, access controls, and compliance requirements related to institutional data.
- Gather and analyze business requirements through interviews and collaborative working sessions.
- Design solutions for new systems or enhancements to existing systems.
- Develop testing specifications, deployment procedures, and technical documentation.
- Research system software problems and coordinate vendor or third‑party support as needed.
- Train users in one‑on‑one or group settings on system functionality and reporting tools.
- Attend training and professional development activities to maintain and expand technical skills.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Education and Experience/Training
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related technical field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in systems analysis, application development, and enterprise system support.
- Strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
- Experience supporting an enterprise ERP system (Ellucian Banner or similar).
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise reports and data extracts.
Preferred:
- Experience in a higher education IT environment.
- Experience supporting Evisions/Argos or a comparable enterprise reporting platform.
- Experience with data governance, data stewardship, or enterprise data management.
- Experience designing or supporting data warehouses or analytics repositories.
- Experience with analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI or similar).
- Experience with APIs, web services, Cold Fusion and system integrations.
- Experience with ERP security models and audit support.
- Exposure to cloud‑hosted ERP environments or cloud migration initiatives.
