AWS is a leading technology company expanding its infrastructure management team. We seek an experienced technology manager with people‑management skills, deep technical knowledge, and a vision to elevate AWS Data Center Operations. The role drives sustainable processes, automation, and low‑voltage structured cabling across our data center platform.
Key Job Responsibilities- Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, including project management, coaching, and documentation.
- Manage inbound capacity from receiving through deployment stages.
- Oversee installation of network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment.
- Guide, train, and educate staff on best practices related to service owner issues.
- Manage tasks and deliverables across projects of varying sizes.
- Recommend, document, and enforce policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
- Provide weekly reports to the data center manager.
- Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, including emergency projects, change management, maintenance windows, and on‑call support.
- Recruit and train data technicians to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Host weekly staff meetings.
- Drive compliance with Amazon performance‑management requirements.
- Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma to drive process improvements.
- Experience with fiber optic and copper cabling standards, testing equipment, and troubleshooting methodologies.
- 5+ years of IT operations and people‑management experience.
- An engineering degree or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience.
- Proven ability to drive and manage metrics/KPIs with high organization and detail orientation.
- Experience working in fast‑paced environments and managing workload under stress.
- Experience with hyper‑scale network deployment of network and server racks.
- Experience in networking operation management or general hardware troubleshooting/debugging.
- Travel up to 20% of the time.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
