Application Consultant - Digital Web Development

Duration: 6 month contract with the potential to extend or convert to full time

Work Location:

Hybrid 5 times a month in office (Every Wednesday and third Friday)

Hours:

37.5 hr/week;
Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.

Role Overview

This role is responsible for leading the technical design, development, and integration of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems, as well as enhancing existing technologies. You will work on complex technical challenges, provide mentorship to team members, and collaborate closely with developers, architects, and infrastructure specialists to deliver scalable, innovative solutions.

You will evaluate emerging tools and technologies, identify best practices, and anticipate long-term business needs while developing robust project plans aligned to industry standards and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

* Technical Design & Development

* Lead and coordinate complex application programming activities

* Design and architect scalable technical solutions using modern frameworks, databases, and development tools

* Deliver innovative, cost-effective solutions across enterprise web and mobile platforms

* Strategic Planning

* Develop and execute multi-year technology roadmaps aligned with business goals

* Lead multiple complex initiatives involving backend systems, new technologies, and application enhancements

* Leadership & Mentorship

* Act as a technical lead, facilitating code reviews and ensuring high-quality delivery

* Mentor and support intermediate and senior developers through collaboration and knowledge sharing

What You'll Be Doing

You will join our client's web development team, playing a key role in delivering enterprise-scale digital solutions. This includes working on complex web and mobile initiatives that integrate with multiple backend systems.

As an Application Consultant, you will design, build, and maintain flexible, user-centric solutions that enhance the overall client experience across digital applications.

Must-Have Skills

* Strong proficiency in Vue.js and building responsive web applications

* Experience with analytics integration and accessibility best practices

* Familiarity with unit testing frameworks

* Working knowledge of security tools and processes

Nice-to-Have Skills

* Experience coaching or mentoring junior developers

* Strong independent contributor with deep technical expertise

* Experience with tools such as Snyk, Black Duck, and Fortify

Technical Experience

* JavaScript, HTML, CSS

* Vue.js, Node.js

* Mobile technologies:
Objective-C, Swift, Xcode, Android SDK

* Web services, XML

* Version control systems:
Git, Subversion

* Nice to have:
Object-Oriented Design, JSON, RESTful APIs, Unit Testing, UI Automation
