Network Provisioning Engineer; Onsite

On-site at New Albany, Ohio (Eastern Time). Remote work is not available for this role.

24×7 across three 8-hour shifts. Assignment may include any of:
Day

5 days on / 2 days off; 40 hrs / week.

Shift differentials apply for Swing and Graveyard shifts per company policy.

• Strong understanding of BGP, IS-IS, MPLS (Intermediate to Advanced)
• Experience with Juniper (JunOS), Arista (EOS), Cisco (IOS-XR), or Meta’s FBOSS (preferred)
• Understanding of Clos/spine-leaf architectures, fabric networks, ToR switching
• Familiarity with DWDM, 800G optics (800ZR+), transponder provisioning
• Familiarity with Python based automation tools
• Experience with network management/ticketing systems

• 3–7 years of experience in network engineering, data center deployment, or network operations
• Experience provisioning enterprise/hyperscale network devices at scale
• Hands‑on experience with at least one major vendor platform (Juniper/Arista/Cisco)
• Experience with large‑scale network deployments (100+ device environments)
• Understanding of data center power/cooling constraints and physical infrastructure

• Vendor‑specific certifications for optical platforms (Ciena, Infinera) (Preferred)

• Ability to work in fast‑paced, high‑pressure deployment environments
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Cross‑functional collaboration with field technicians, operations teams, and engineering
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after onboarding
• Problem‑solving and escalation judgment

• BICSI certification (RCDD, Installer, Technician) or equivalent
• Experience in hyperscale data‑center environments
• Familiarity with DCIM tooling, intake/ticketing systems, and network management dashboards
• Foundational knowledge of network protocols and the OSI model (Layers 1–4)

• Execute SOLO (Single-Operation Logical Onboarding) provisioning workflows for new rack deployments
• Provision network devices including fabric switches, backbone routers and general service equipment OOB devices and Circuits
• Configure devices using Client’s tools with appropriate network parameters
• Perform HPRv3 (High Power Rack) provisioning for AI compute racks
• Execute circuit provisioning for peering, backbone, and intra‑DC connectivity
• Manage network software updates and upgrades per release schedules
• Support PON (Passive Optical Network) OLT provisioning and activation
• Transition equipment from provisioned state to activation
• Execute undrain procedures to bring network into production
• Complete Production Readiness checklist sign‑off which includes physical quality audit confirmation
• Coordinate with Network Operations for operational handoff
• Support partial activations and L1 zone‑by‑zone activation approaches during accelerated deployments
• Perform logical testing and performance validation post‑provisioning
• Execute circuit QA/QC loopback testing in coordination with field teams
• Troubleshoot router/switches’ uplink failures, device provisioning issues, and circuit‑level problems
• Identify and escalating design/BOM discrepancies
• Remediate provisioning fallout from pre‑integrated rack workflows
• Document and report deployment blockers via Client’s ticketing system
• Maintain deployment playbooks for assigned regions
• Update BOMs with as‑built configuration data
• Contribute to runbook development
• Track and report deployment progress via client’s internal dashboard
• Support post‑deployment audits and remediation activities
