Job Description About the role
A specialized enterprise financial services advisory firm is seeking a Consulting Manager, Cybersecurity to support strategic transformations across three core domains: strategic transformation, AI/data analytics, and cybersecurity. This role will lead client engagements, design and implement cybersecurity solutions, and contribute to practice development and client growth.
Key responsibilities
* Lead client engagements and work streams focused on IT mergers, strategic transformation, and CIO/CSO reorganizations.
* Conduct information gathering, data analysis, and synthesis to deliver clear recommendations and presentations to stakeholders.
* Assess cybersecurity maturity and architecture; design, orchestrate, and implement security solutions aligned to business objectives.
* Establish and enhance risk, compliance, and policy frameworks; support regulatory readiness activities.
* Manage and mentor project teams, building skills and providing guidance to consultants.
* Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities and cultivate long-term client relationships.
* Own and develop intellectual property within the cyber practice (e.g., SOC, IAM), and lead at least one external-facing activity per quarter (thought leadership, content, or project delivery).
* Support internal organizational initiatives, processes, and tool implementations.
Profile
* Experience:
Minimum 5 years of full-time experience in cybersecurity consulting or B2B cybersecurity, with exposure to large-scale transformation projects in the financial services or insurance sector.
* Education:
Degree in an IT or analytical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering) or equivalent experience. Candidates from non-traditional backgrounds are welcome.
* Technical and regulatory expertise:
Relevant cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Security+, CySA+, ISO 27001, CISSP, CCSP, CISM). Familiarity with financial sector regulatory standards is advantageous.
* Mindset:
Entrepreneurial, proactive, and comfortable taking ownership of initiatives.
* Skills:
Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills. Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus.
