Senior IT Systems Engineer

Anduril is seeking a Senior IT Systems Engineer to build and maintain the tech stack supporting mission‑critical programs. The role offers the opportunity to work alongside leading engineers and cybersecurity professionals to implement cutting‑edge systems, collaborate with development groups, and gain experience navigating complex IT environments worldwide.

• Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure solutions across cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on‑premises environments (VMware).
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize the performance and reliability of critical infrastructure systems.
• Work with server and storage technologies such as Pure Storage or VAST Data.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
• Provision, configure, and maintain databases for high availability, performance, and security.
• Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups, disaster recovery planning, and best practices compliance.
• Apply virtualization and VDI solutions expertise.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure‑related issues and outages promptly.
• Document infrastructure designs, processes, and procedures for future reference and knowledge sharing.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies to continually improve infrastructure capabilities.

• 7+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering, covering both on‑premises and cloud technologies.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) and their services.
• Proficiency in IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Cloud Formation.
• Experience with automation and scripting in Python, Bash, or Power Shell.
• Proficiency in Linux configuration and administration, including system optimization, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Solid understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, and load balancing.
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, Git Lab CI, or CircleCI.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Security Clearance.

• Datacenter or colo experience.
• GPU/CPU HPC experience a plus.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or Cloud Watch.

US Salary Range: $126,000 – $167,000 USD.
