Telco Cloud Architect; m​/f​/d

Overview

The main role of the Red Hat Telco Cloud Architect is to passionately drive the adoption of Red Hat’s solution in key telco service provider customers, network equipment providers, and system integrator partners. The architect will win the trust and confidence of engineering, development and operations teams by aligning their requirements and use cases with the functional capabilities of the solution.

• Own the architecture, design, and delivery of large‑scale telco cloud platforms built on Open Shift and automation frameworks.
• Lead discovery, analysis and design workshops to shape and influence customer use cases and architecture design decisions.
• Lead consulting teams through successful customer pilot and production deployments.
• Create and deliver content that enables the broader Red Hat organization to sell, service and support our Telco solutions at scale.
• Work closely with product, engineering, consulting, support and sales to ensure a world‑class customer experience.
• Contribute to the development of repeatable methodologies and tools to scale services capabilities, promote repeatable engagements and lower delivery risk.
• Demonstrate thought leadership by producing white papers, webinars and speaking at industry conferences.

• Multi‑cluster telco platforms (hub/spoke, edge)
• CNF/VNF onboarding and lifecycle management
• Automation (ZTP, Git Ops, Day‑2 ops)
• Integration with legacy OSS/BSS and network systems
• Pre‑sales engagements with evolving requirements

• Design and deliver distributed Open Shift‑based platforms across core and edge.
• Design and deliver CNF/VNF onboarding and lifecycle management workflows.
• Design and deliver automated deployment and operations pipelines (ZTP, Git Ops, Ansible).
• Design and deliver end‑to‑end integration with customer network and IT systems.
• Produce pre‑sales deliverables: architecture‑driven Statements of Work, effort estimations and service scoping aligned with real delivery constraints.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Telecommunications, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry certification.
• Deep knowledge of modern telco networks and protocols and their implementation in software‑based solutions.
• Deep experience designing and delivering cloud and automation technology for telco network platforms via distributed cross‑functional teams.
• Hands‑on skills with Open Shift, Open Stack, Software‑Defined Storage and Ansible Automation in telco environments.
• Strong consultative customer engagement background with major vendors, system integrators, or telco service providers.
• Solution‑sales mentality, flexibility, creativity and ability to work in complex environments with diverse teams.
• Self‑study ability and quick learning of new technologies.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, including experience presenting to C‑level executives.
• Willingness to travel frequently to client locations throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa.
