DescriptionInstall PC’s and related hardware while maintaining inventory levels with current accepted equipment. Investigate hardware problems and perform system hardware and network connection repairs. Perform basic diagnostic testing. Install corporate software. Troubleshoot PC hardware and software issues. Assist users with remote access basic needs. Expected to align personal goals with the Mission, Vision, and values of OVEC/IKEC.
Key Responsibilities- Install and test new software.
- Make software available to appropriate users.
- Check new computer equipment on arrival and install as appropriate.
- Install, maintain system hardware, including computers, printers, monitors, and cabling.
- Install and setup corporate software as needed.
- Answer basic questions about equipment and software; investigate and solve operational problems experienced by various system users.
- Assist with installing, moving, and maintaining network equipment, including servers, routers, switches, access points, and workstations.
- Perform general and basic Computer Room operations at the Plant which includes monitoring status for systems within the room which includes core routers, switches, servers, devices, and UPS. Would notify and work with IS Dept, other groups/depts, and outside entities if problems/issues arise.
- Assist users with basic support for VPN and HW/SW Tokens for remote access.
- Assist users with basic Microsoft Office and other corporate software products that may be utilized.
- Write and maintain procedures and documentation.
- Maintain confidentiality with regard to information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
- Perform duties in accordance with all applicable federal and state safety laws and regulations, and all applicable company safety rules and operating procedures; when supervising others, assure that safe work practices are followed and conduct safety meetings; make suggestions for the improvement of the safety program and encourage others to do so.

- Assist in other duties as needed and directed.
Associate IT degree and/or IT certifications with applicable technical experience from the industry or Company.
