Job Description About the roleA specialized enterprise financial services advisory firm is seeking a Consulting Manager – IT/Technology (Financial Services) to help shape the future of financial services across three core domains: strategic transformations, AI/data analytics, and cybersecurity.

Key responsibilities
* Lead transformative programs:
Apply deep insurance and banking IT & operations expertise to plan and deliver large-scale initiatives. Partner with senior stakeholders to align business objectives, technology choices, and process improvements.
* Client relationship management:
Build and maintain trusted client relationships, advise on technology trends and operational best practices, and ensure high levels of client satisfaction.
* Team leadership and coaching:
Manage, mentor and motivate project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
* Commercial development:
Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities; develop tailored technology and operations solutions to expand engagement scope.
* Internal capability building:
Support internal programs such as process optimization, tool implementations (e.g., ERP), and digital presence enhancements.
* Intellectual property and thought leadership:
Own and evolve IP in areas such as cybersecurity, transformation, or banking/insurance operations. Contribute to external-facing initiatives (e.g., articles, website content) on a regular cadence.
* Sales and marketing support:
Help develop compelling proposals and collateral that demonstrate expertise in financial services IT & operations; participate in external events and communications to promote thought leadership.

Candidate profile

* Experience:

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the insurance or banking sector, ideally gained at a top-tier consultancy or technology strategy firm, with demonstrable involvement in large-scale transformation programs.

* Education:

Degree in an analytical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, Finance, Economics) from a reputable institution, or an equivalent track record of professional achievement.
* Mindset:
Entrepreneurial, proactive, accountable, and comfortable navigating ambiguity.
* Analytical ability:
Strong quantitative and problem-solving skills; experience using data to inform decisions and optimize IT & operations.
* Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to convey technical and strategic concepts clearly to senior stakeholders.

* Languages:

Fluency in English and German preferred; additional language skills are an advantage.
