Modeling & Simulation Production Manager
The United States Space Force (USSF) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base is searching for a Modeling & Simulation Production Manager to support the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC). This position is covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS). In this high-impact role, you will work in tandem with NSIC squadrons that drive our Modeling & Simulation (M&S) production planning and prioritization framework.
You will become a trusted mission partner at the forefront of space intelligence, coordinating internally and externally with influential agencies such as Space Systems Command (SSC) and the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA).
Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate is a proactive, systems-thinking professional who operates effectively at the critical intersection of threat intelligence analysis (Red) and operational capabilities (Blue). Beyond traditional production management, you will serve as a vital Mission Integrator possessing deep space domain familiarity and the technical acumen required to prioritize sophisticated Modeling & Simulation (M&S) frameworks. You will work in tandem with the model-producing squadrons to manage requests, prioritize production, and provide production progress transparency.
Key Areas of Expertise:
- Proven track record of aligning diverse mission partners around common operational goals and fostering interagency cooperation, overseeing joint production and federation plans, and actively connecting and engaging with committee members.
- Proven ability to define, translate, and implement complex M&S governance and standards established by the broader USSF enterprise, ensuring our frameworks remain aligned and compliant.
- Experienced with friendly force ("Blue") and/or threat (Red) modeling architecture and requirements, methodologies such as Signature and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles.
- Experienced in directly translating complex technical requirements into actionable production needs.
- Possess a strong working knowledge of the operational structure and mission areas of the United States Space Force (USSF), paired with a deep understanding of the NSIC M&S mission set.
- Possess exceptional executive presence with demonstrated experience briefing and advising DoW senior leadership and senior civilian counterparts.
- Ability to operate with high autonomy in fast-paced environments-effectively prioritizing tasks, managing shifting deadlines, and driving project velocity amidst fluid mission requirements.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills utilized to facilitate complex agency coordination, negotiate sensitive technical parameters, and reconcile competing priorities with production submission.
