As a Senior Word Press Web Developer, you will take ownership of the development, customization, and optimization of Word Press-based web solutions for our clients across various industries. Your responsibilities include:

• Development and implementation of custom Word Press themes and plugins tailored to specific client requirements, with a focus on clean, maintainable and scalable code
• Architecture and development of complex Word Press solutions, including custom post types, taxonomies, REST API integrations, advanced content management workflows and more
• Customization and extension of existing Word Press installations, including theme modifications, plugin adaptations, integration of third-party services and APIs
• Performance optimization of Word Press websites, including database query optimization, caching strategies, image optimization and more
• Implementation of security best practices for Word Press, including hardening measures and vulnerability patching
• Collaboration with UX/UI designers, project managers, and backend teams to translate design concepts and business requirements into functional, responsive Word Press solutions
• Evaluation and recommendation of Word Press plugins, tools, and hosting solutions based on project requirements and scalability needs

You are an experienced Word Press developer with a deep understanding of the Word Press ecosystem and a passion for building high-quality, scalable web solutions. You combine strong PHP skills with an eye for detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.

• Several years of professional experience in Word Press development, including custom theme and plugin development from scratch
• Strong proficiency in PHP as the foundation for all Word Press development work
• Deep understanding of the Word Press core architecture - including the Hook system, the Template Hierarchy, the WP REST API, the Word Press Coding Standards and more
• Experience with popular page builders (e.g. Elementor, WPBakery) and the Gutenberg Block Editor, including custom block development
• Familiarity with Woo Commerce development and customization is a strong plus
• Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD workflows, and deployment strategies for Word Press projects
• Knowledge of Word Press security best practices, performance optimization techniques, and SEO fundamentals
• Strong self-organization, initiative, and a proactive way of working
• Clear, constructive team communication as well
• Strong English and German skills are mandatory
