Required
Skills & Experience:
Active TS/SCI clearance, 7+ years of experience supporting infrastructure, platform, or systems engineering efforts in secure environments, 3+ years of experience working with cloud-based technologies and deployment automation, experience supporting Kubernetes networking, including concepts such as Services, Ingress, network policies, load balancing, DNS, and Container Network Interface (CNI) technologies, experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex networked systems, experience with network automation and Infrastructure as Code (Python, Ansible, or Terraform), experience administering Linux-based systems and performing system-level troubleshooting (Red Hat or CentOS), knowledge of application deployment, platform security, and operational best practices.

Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree, experience supporting cloud and infrastructure modernization efforts (AWS EKS), background working in secure, mission-focused technical environments, experience with Agile development methodologies and working on Agile teams using collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, or Discourse), knowledge of cloud native tooling or vulnerability analysis concepts, knowledge of modernization frameworks used across mission programs, experience with technologies such as Calico, Cilium, Flannel, Istio, service mesh, VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, F5, cloud networking, Helm, Terraform, and Git Ops.
Job Description:
An employer in the Dayton, Ohio, area is seeking a TS/SCI Platform Engineer for a direct-hire opportunity. This individual will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure Kubernetes and cloud-based environments that support mission-critical government programs. The role will focus on automating infrastructure and deployment processes using tools such as Python, Terraform, Ansible, and CI/CD pipelines, while also troubleshooting containerized applications, networking issues, and microservices architectures.
This person will administer Linux-based systems and production Kubernetes clusters, create technical documentation and standard operating procedures, and collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to modernize platforms, enhance automation, and enable secure cloud adoption. The ideal candidate will possess an active TS/SCI clearance and be comfortable working onsite five days per week.
