Digitalisation Engineer Job Pioneer Ohio USA,IT/Tech

Job Purpose

Support the development and implementation of AI, automation and digital transformation initiatives across Nat Steel, including Planning, Logistics, Technical, Production, Sales Procurement and Finance functions.

Key Responsibilities

Support AI and digitalisation projects across multiple business functions.
Gather business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into digital solutions.
Participate in process mapping and workflow improvement initiatives.
Analyse operational data and identify digitalisation opportunities.
Support development and testing of AI, machine learning and automation solutions.
Work with internal stakeholders and external technology vendors.
Prepare project documentation, business cases, reports and management presentations.
Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT), training and solution deployment.
Monitor project progress, risks and benefits realisation.

Requirements

Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems or related discipline.
Strong interest in AI, machine learning, automation and digital transformation.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in programming (python / C++) is required.
Able to communicate with business users and technical vendors.
Comfortable working across multiple departments and managing multiple projects.

Preferred Experience in one or more of the following areas:

Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML)
Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, Qwen or similar platforms
Computer Vision and OCR technologies
Intelligent Document Processing (IDP)
Process Automation and Workflow Automation
Data Analytics and Business Intelligence
Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Sales or ERP Systems
Industrial Digitalisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives
Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform

Technical Skills

Programming experience in Python
Experience with SQL databases and data modelling
Experience with C++development is an advantage
Experience with APIs, system integration and automation workflows
Familiarity with Power BI, Power Platform, Azure AI Services, Machine Learning frameworks or similar technologies
Experience developing dashboards, web applications or data pipelines is an advantage
