Location: Silverton

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled IT Supervisor to oversee daily IT operations. The successful candidate will supervise daily IT operations, lead support staff and application development, provide technical support to end-users and assist in maintaining secure and efficient systems to ensure the smooth functioning of the organization’s technology infrastructure. This position will be based at our head office in Silverton and requires a candidate that is willing to work night shifts from time to time.

MINIMUM

REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or similar IT related qualification.
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in IT support, systems administration, network administration or similar.
  • Previous experience supervising or coordinating IT activities will be an advantage.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Supervise and coordinate daily IT support operations.
  • Provide first- and second-line technical support to users.
  • Monitor and maintain computer systems, networks, servers, and peripheral equipment.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor network stability and performance, system security, system logs regarding possible operational problems, security violations and general system issues.
  • Oversee IT asset management, including inventory and equipment maintenance.
  • Support cybersecurity initiatives and ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures.
  • Enforce security and backup plan.
  • Assist with system upgrades, installations, and configuration of hardware and software.
  • Collaborating with other departments and professionals in the development of IT systems.
  • Lead and develop applications, integration between inhouse app and third-party apps, user manual and user training.
  • Maintain system documentation and prepare regular IT performance reports.
  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers when required.
  • Train and support employees on IT systems and best practices.
  • Perform other related work as and when required.
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • Strong knowledge of Windows / Linux operating systems, Microsoft 365, and basic networking.
  • Experience with hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and data protection practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivering quality IT support.
