The Haudenschild Agency is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Lines/Farm Lines
Account Manager to join our team. This position provides day-to-day service and administrative support
for commercial and farm insurance clients. The Account Manager works closely with clients, insurance
carriers, agency agents, and fellow team members to deliver accurate, timely, and professional service.
Responsibilities include policy servicing, endorsements, certificates, renewals, claims assistance, billing
support, quoting support, bond processing, and account administration. This role focuses primarily on
commercial and farm insurance accounts, with occasional support for personal lines as agency needs
require.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, policies, billing, and service requests.
- Process endorsements, cancellations, reinstatements, policy changes, and other servicing transactions.
- Provide declarations pages, schedules, certificates, and policy documents as requested.
- Gather and verify underwriting information, including driver and vehicle data.
- Maintain a high level of responsiveness and customer service.
- Quote and process commercial and farm insurance submissions.
- Prepare and quote bond submissions.
- Assist with renewal reviews, remarketing efforts, and coverage evaluations.
- Submit applications and supporting documentation to carriers and specialty markets.
- Assist clients with claims reporting and claim follow-up activities.
- Communicate with carriers regarding claim status and documentation needs.
- Provide premium breakdowns, billing explanations, and invoice support.
- Issue Certificates of Insurance (COIs) and Evidence of Insurance (EOIs).
- Process and service bond requests.
- Maintain accurate certificate and bond records.
- Maintain complete and accurate agency management system documentation.
- Prepare Statements of Values (SOVs), property schedules, driver lists, and related insurance documents.
- Manage electronic signature requests and document collection.
- Upload applications, endorsements, renewals, and supporting documentation to agency and carrier systems.
- Ensure agency files remain organized, complete, and compliant.
- Maintain professional communication with clients, carriers, agents, and agency staff.
- Collaborate with agency personnel to support client service, underwriting, claims, and agency operations.
- Participate in team meetings, training, and agency initiatives.
- Ohio Property & Casualty Insurance License, or ability to obtain an Ohio Property & Casualty Insurance License within 30 days of employment.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accountability.
- Commercial insurance agency experience.
- Farm insurance or agribusiness insurance experience.
- Experience servicing commercial insurance accounts.
- Experience with endorsements, renewals, certificates of insurance (COIs), evidence of insurance (EOIs),and bond processing.
- Insurance industry designations such as CISR, CIC, AFIS, CPIA, CRM, or similar credentials.
- Experience working in a paperless and technology-driven agency environment.
