Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Demonstrated experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in an educational setting
• Ability to interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school activities with accuracy and professionalism
• Understanding of Deaf culture and the unique needs of Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students
• Familiarity with IEPs and educational goals for students receiving sign language services
• National or state certification (such as RID, EIPA, or recognized equivalent) is highly valued
• Strong interpersonal skills, reliability, and the capacity to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and families

• Provide real-time sign language interpretation in classrooms, assemblies, meetings, and school-related events
• Ensure clear communication between students, staff, and peers in both one‑on‑one and group settings
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to adapt materials and strategies for optimal student understanding
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards in all interpreting assignments
• Support individual student needs, promoting academic and social inclusion
