Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Job Summary
International Trade Compliance (ITC) team responsible for the compliant execution of global export controls and sanctions laws and regulations. The successful candidate will work closely with the ITC team and GE Aerospace programs/functions to apply international trade laws and regulations to support and drive international business.

- Work with senior members of the ITC team and relevant stakeholders to prepare authorization applications for approval to the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, and U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security.
- Assist with the development of licensing strategies for compliant business execution.
- Generate, maintain, and monitor U.S. Government export/import licenses, agreements, and certifications/annual reports.
- Maintain records in accordance with U.S. Government regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Track status and provide reports and metrics associated with trade compliance activities.
- Provide training on compliant execution of trade and sanctions regulations, as well as U.S. government authorizations, including licenses, agreements, and exemptions/exceptions.
- Support process and procedure improvements and coordinate on implementation thereof.
- Participate as part of a team in projects or initiatives of varying complexities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with a minimum of 4 years of professional experience.
- Associate’s degree with a minimum of 6 years of professional experience.
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience.
- Minimum 2 years of professional trade experience.
- Willing to take on challenges.
- Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
- Experience with and/or in the application of ITC regulations (ITAR, EAR, Customs) in high volume environments.
- Knowledge of DECCS, SNAP-R, and/or OCR EASE.
- Ability to adapt and grow in an expanding organization.

Base pay range: $112,000 to $149,000.
Annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of base salary.

Eligibility and Legal RequirementsThis role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. Employment will be contingent upon the ability to prove that you meet the status of a U.S. Person: U.S. lawful permanent resident, U.S. citizen, or granted asylee or refugee status.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. A drug screen and occasional random or reasonable-suspicion drug and alcohol testing may be required.
