Overview
For our Supply Chain organization in Burscheid, we are looking for a Material Handling & Data Integrity Manager.
Responsibilities- continuously optimize safe, efficient, and scalable material flow performance and drive execution and commitment;
- calculate takt time, cycle times, define manpower, equipment, and buffers needed and ensure frequent updates in the ERP system;
- select and define how to choose the best equipment solution, such as tuggers, AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, through trade-off analysis;
- lean material handling to cut inventory cycles, lower carrying costs, and boost labor efficiency while delivering measurable savings across operations;
- implement new or advanced digital tools in order to optimize material flow, eliminate waste, and drive daily operational excellence;
- collaborate with the regional manufacturing/supply chain team and coordinate the flow of materials through the supply chain, optimizing transportation, warehousing, and inventory management strategies;
- collaborate with the manufacturing team and the supply chain team to drive cost savings, increase inventory turns and track financial performance;
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or operations;
Master’s preferred (MBA ideal) or similar education - 3-5 years of professional experience in the area of material handling, material flow and integrity of production data
- in-depth knowledge of logistics and production processes
- careful, methodical and structured way of working with a strong Lean & continuous improvement mindset as well as deep understanding of Lean principles and practices
- knowledge of financial metrics and their connection to material handling and lean material flow aspects
- professional experience on material handling transformations across the production plant (preferably in the automotive industry)
- fluent German and English language skills
- digital & analytic proficiency in SAP RLP, WMS, IoT, RFID (or similar systems), Power BI, MS Office, and analytics platforms; experience scaling digital tools across large networks
- ability to lead a team and foster collaboration across different functions in the plant (e.g. Operations, Finance, Supply chain)
