Job Description

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing raw materials, components, and equipment at the best total cost while ensuring quality and on-time delivery. This role works cross-functionally with engineering, project teams, and suppliers to support development and production, with a strong focus on supplier management and cost negotiation.

Responsibilities

+ Procure materials and equipment to meet cost, quality, and delivery goals

+ Collaborate with engineering and project teams to support requirements

+ Act as liaison between suppliers and internal teams

+ Manage RFQs, analyze quotes, and negotiate pricing

+ Evaluate supplier performance and drive cost reduction initiatives

+ Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs) and track open orders

+ Support new product development and ensure timeline adherence

+ Resolve supplier quality issues and coordinate deliveries

Essential Skills

+ 5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience (manufacturing or automotive preferred)

+ Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost analysis skills

+

Experience with RFQs, POs, and technical requirements

+ SAP proficiency required; strong Microsoft Office skills

+ Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field

+ Industry experience in Power Sports or automotive preferred

+ Strong communication and ability to manage multiple priorities

+ Willingness to travel occasionally and work flexible hours

Work Environment

This is an office-based role in an open office setting at an Auto Development Center, requiring regular collaboration with internal teams and suppliers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility. Occasional travel and overtime may be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $48.00/hr.
