Job OverviewAs a Power Equipment Operator you are essential to the behind‑the‑scenes team, keeping operations moving so customers receive what they need, when they need it. You will operate powered industrial trucks and other equipment to move merchandise safely and efficiently in our furniture, bedding, and fulfillment warehouses.
What You Will Do- Operate Equipment Safely: Use stock pickers and reach trucks up to 40 feet high in narrow aisles to pick, pull, put away, stack, and count merchandise while meeting quality standards.
- Technology: Input data accurately and efficiently using PCs, handheld computers, radio frequency equipment, or similar devices and master the various warehouse‑specific systems.
- Safety: Work safely in narrow aisles and up to 40 feet high with a harness, report equipment failures, damage, accidents, and environmental hazards promptly to the safety committee.

Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other team members, customers, coworkers, and People Leaders to achieve goals, maintain a positive environment, and understand and follow all employment policies and safety procedures in English. - Start the shift strong by wearing your name badge, following the dress code, attending start‑ups, and ensuring the work area is ready.
- Prioritize the customer by working quickly and accurately, handling merchandise with care, and packing each customer’s order thoughtfully.
- Hospitality is a feeling – greet coworkers with a smile and a warm hello, build trust, and support colleagues whenever possible.
- Finish strong by tidying the workstation, returning equipment properly, replenishing supplies, and recognizing coworkers who helped make the day successful.

- A flexible team player who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can switch between multiple tasks and shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Comfortable working at heights up to 40 feet while operating power equipment.
- Previous Power Equipment experience preferred but not required.
- Flexible availability with dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Proficient in the use of computers and handheld technology.
- Open to cross‑training in other areas of the facility as business needs arise.
- Can understand and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
- Can read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Stand or walk around the facility for prolonged periods (up to 12 hours) excluding breaks.
- Perform constant and repetitive movements, standing, reaching above eye level, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
- Maintain close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Use, hear, and see safety and emergency alarms and Power Industrial Truck warning devices while on the warehouse floor.
Random drug testing for all colleagues will be conducted monthly or semi‑monthly with a third‑party provider. Testing must be completed on the same workday the colleague is notified.
