Since 2007, Molex Vietnam has operated its first factory in Thang Long I IP. We are now expanding with a new high tech facility in Thang Long II IP, Hung Yen, backed by a $145 million investment and spanning 100,000 m². This site will manufacture advanced products including high-speed connectors, cables, and optical devices.
Role Purpose
Ensure supply and demand alignment to meet customer expectations on lead time and capacity. Drive S&OP activities for the plant and act as the single point of contact for Global Supply Planning.
Key Responsibilities
Capacity Planning
- Develop Rough-Cut Capacity Plans (RCCP) for assigned plants.
- Identify capacity constraints and recommend solutions with timelines.
- Highlight excess capacity issues for demand shaping.
- Lead monthly capacity reviews and S&OP meetings, publish key actions and decisions.
- Serve as the planning center of excellence, influencing end-to-end supply chain activities.
End-to-End Supply Planning
- Review constrained plans and identify risks on demand and supply sides.
- Drive mitigation plans with cross-functional teams (CFT).
- Strategically plan FG/semi-FG/components to improve service level and optimize inventory.
- Identify opportunities to improve E2E supply chain metrics.
Plan for Every Part (PFEP)
- Define planning strategies (MTS, ATO, MTO) based on business needs and lead-time targets.
- Manage backlog fulfillment for strategic products.
Reporting & Analysis
- Monitor plan attainment and schedule adherence.
- Track delivery performance, overdue backlog, inventory health (DSI, slow/excess), and capacity utilization.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Additional Assignments
- Support planning-related activities for Molex plants in Guadalajara, Shanghai, Dongguan, Zhuhai.
Qualifications
Education
- Required: Bachelor's degree
- Preferred: Major in Supply Chain Management or Business Operations; APICS certification or Six Sigma Black Belt
Experience
- Required: 5+ years in planning
- Preferred: Experience in multinational companies and electronics industry
Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication, analytical, and leadership skills
- Ability to influence global teams and drive change
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Advanced Excel and MS Office skills
- Practical knowledge of SAP (Material Master/SD modules)
- Ability to simplify complex supply chain concepts for business users
- Preferred: Kinaxis Rapid Response experience; capacity modeling expertise
