Job Requirements and DutiesYou must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards. The vehicle must be insured and available for delivery. You should have navigational skills: the ability to read a map, locate streets and addresses, and navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings.
GeneralJob Duties for All Store Team Members
- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
Orientation and training are provided on the job.
Communication Skills- Comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers over the phone and in person to process orders.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately.
- Must be able to give correct monetary change.
- Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, precise movements.
- Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touch screen.
- Varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing outdoor tasks.
- In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler areas to 90°F or higher in some work areas.
- Sudden changes in temperature while inside or outside.
- Fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and other airborne particles.
- Cramped quarters, including walk‑in cooler.
- Hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500°F or higher.
- Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
- Talking and hearing on telephone.
- Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
- Depth perception.
- Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, and make judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements- Standing – Most tasks are performed from a standing position.
- Walking – For short distances and durations.
- Surface work – Tiles, bricks, linoleum, height of work surfaces between 36 and 48 inches.
- Sitting – Paperwork typically completed at a desk or table.
- Lifting – Bulk product deliveries (twice a week or more) unloaded by a hand truck; cases of ingredients and supplies up to 50 pounds and dimensions of up to 3' x 1.5'. Cases may be stacked on shelves up to 72 high.
- Carrying – Large cans (3 lb 7 oz), pizza sauce (30 lb), trays of dough (12 lb each, three at a time).
- Pushing – Trays on dollies (24–30 trays, 7½ lb force).
- Climbing – Infrequent stairs or ladder use for maintenance.
