Job DescriptionTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Buyer Direct located in Guadalajara, North Campus. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager Direct the Buyer Direct is responsible for ensuring material availability for production through effective execution of MRP signals, supplier management, and continuous follow-up on deliveries, inventory, and demand changes.
What a typical day looks like:
- Execute purchasing activities based on MRP outputs, including placing, expediting, rescheduling, or canceling orders to support production requirements.
- Maintain close communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, correct pricing, and material availability.
- Monitor material status and proactively manage shortages, minimizing production impact.
- Track shipments and coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses to ensure timely material flow.
- Review and manage inventory levels, avoiding excess and reducing risk of obsolescence.
- Analyze shortage reports and open purchase orders to align supply with changing production plans.
- Manage supplier performance related to delivery, quality, and responsiveness, escalating when required.
- Resolve discrepancies in inventory and coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure system accuracy.
- Support claims management, including debit/credit notes and invoice approvals.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, reports, and KPIs related to cost, delivery, and inventory.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (planning, warehouse, production) to ensure alignment and continuity of supply.
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in a similar position.
- Intermediate English (spoken and written).
- Strong understanding of MRP, inventory control, and supply-demand alignment.
- Experience managing suppliers and driving delivery performance.
- Experience working with reports, metrics, and KPI tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required).
- Experience with ERP systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and follow-up skills.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset.
