Senior Cost Leader – Defense Engines – F110 Program

OverviewThis role is on‑site and focuses on leading cost‑out activities for the F110 product line to enhance margin growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Own the pipeline for cost productivity on the F110 product line, identifying and communicating opportunities to reduce material and conversion costs.
- Collaborate with product line teams, engineering, sourcing, VCP lab, and production shops to evaluate, execute, and implement cost‑out projects while mitigating future cost risks.
- Explore cost‑out opportunities across supply chain and non‑supply chain areas.
- Manage daily, weekly, and monthly operating and reporting rhythms for the F110 product line and support similar activities within the Combat and Trainer Engine group.
- Participate in PCB and sourcing deal reviews to ensure cost impacts are understood and effectively communicated to stakeholders.
- Apply lean and problem‑solving principles to drive corrective actions and continuous improvement within the D&S productivity organization.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to influence without authority.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma/GED with at least 6 years of experience in product management).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in engineering, sourcing, finance, shop operations, or product management.
- Must be a U.S. person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual).
- Master’s degree is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
- Experience navigating a matrixed environment.
- Understanding of cost drivers (material, labor, losses, MPHE, rate).
- Negotiating experience.
- Proficiency in financial reporting tools and data analysis.
- Strong problem‑solving process execution and facilitation skills.
- Familiarity with the GE Aerospace deal review process.
- Lean mindset and continuous improvement focus.
Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
Required backgrounds: U.S. export control compliance; background and drug screening required.
