Title:
Data Center Team Lead – Kitting D Shift (Thurs‑Sun, 6:00 AM‑4:30 PM) - Time Type:
Full Time
- Providing and maintaining effective material orders, customer service and inventory management for data center operations.
- Overseeing the loading and unloading of inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers, including management of shipping documents and records.
- Performing quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, ensuring accurate part numbers and quantities and maintaining pristine material condition.
- Executing daily inventory cycle counts and placing replenishment orders for critical spare parts on site.
- Processing return shipments of electronic components using multiple warehouse management systems.
- Placing server racks on the data center floor with 100% accuracy using laser measuring devices.
- Populating electronic components and installing cabling into server racks following diagrams and schematics.
- Installing rack hardware with hand, power and measuring tools.
- Operating material handling equipment such as straddle stackers, rack movers and electric pallet jacks.
- Overseeing cleanup activities to ensure safety, cleanliness and adherence to 5S standards.
- Performing frequent push, pull and lift tasks throughout the workday.
- Daily adherence to safety and process procedures.
- Punctuality and reliability in shift duties.
- Attention to detail and focus on quality.
- Flexibility to cross‑train in multiple data center departments.
- Effective delegation and coaching of team members.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Critical thinking and strong analytical abilities.
- Experience using computers and computer‑based systems.
- Knowledge of electrical safety and static‑discharge hazards and protocols for working with live electrical and electronic equipment.
- 3–5 years of related experience in a data center or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform all essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must pass all required background checks, security clearances and drug/alcohol tests.
- Base pay: $27 hourly. Actual compensation will be determined by relevant experience, skills, education, certifications and geographic location in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
