Account Specialist
Your Mission:
The Account Specialist is a strategic role responsible for the inbound and outbound cycle of product movements within the terminal. This position functions as the customer’s primary point of contact, managing customer relationships, providing account support, and overseeing all product movement activities (marine, rail, truck, and pipeline) to and from assigned tanks. The role guides operations for activity prioritization while ensuring strict adherence to our Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards.
- Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all SHEQ principles and safety protocols while actively participating in site initiatives and training. - Relationship & Account Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, fostering strong relationships, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and facilitating meetings such as KPI reviews and onboarding. - Order Fulfillment:
Manage domestic and export order processes, ensuring data accuracy in internal and customer ERP systems while maintaining knowledge of agreements and logistic processes. - Operational Optimization:
Analyze terminal capacity and utilization to prioritize activities, proactively identifying and mitigating supply chain bottlenecks to minimize downtime. - Cross‑Functional Coordination:
Collaborate with commercial, operations planning, and execution teams through daily meetings to align on customer requirements and communicate mitigation plans during operational delays. - Financial & Administrative Duties:
Prepare monthly customer invoices for services, including non‑routine and project‑based charges, ensuring accuracy before distribution. - Strategic Support:
Utilize a solution‑oriented mindset to assist in implementing system improvements and value chain transformation projects.
- Bachelor’s degree or high school diploma combined with substantial industry‑related experience (supply chain logistics strongly preferred).
- Prioritization of safety and SHEQ principles by actively participating in site initiatives and adhering to all compliance procedures.
- Experience as the main point of contact for complex accounts, managing relationships, customer agreements, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency in end‑to‑end order fulfillment, ensuring accurate data management within internal and customer ERP systems.
- Ability to optimize throughput and minimize downtime by analyzing terminal capacity and resolving supply chain bottlenecks.
- Strong communication across departments and clients by facilitating daily meetings, KPI reviews, and onboarding sessions.
- Accuracy in preparing monthly invoices for routine and project‑based services and handling associated administrative tasks.

The employee generally works in an office environment, away from extremes of cold or heat, with no regular exposure to fumes, odors, toxic conditions, dust, or poor ventilation. The noise level is usually moderate.
Physical demands include walking, sitting, speaking and hearing; standing, using hands to finger, handle or feel; reaching with hands and arms; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling or crouching; and moving up to ten (10) pounds.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Travel may be required by air, rail, bus, or car.
