Inventory Planning and Procurement Analyst

Midwest Retail Services is looking for a sharp, data-driven Inventory Planning & Procurement Analyst to keep our catalog inventory stocked with the right products - in the right quantities, at the right time. You'll turn sales forecasts and customer demand signals into actionable purchasing and inventory plans that maintain strong service levels while managing inventory efficiently.

This role focuses primarily on fixture inventory, lead times, special orders, and import coordination. You'll work closely with our Supply Chain Manager, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure our customers always get what they need - fast.

What You'll Do:

• Translate sales forecasts and demand trends into purchase and inventory plans.
• Maintain targeted inventory days-on-hand (DOH) by product and vendor.
• Execute purchasing for key vendors, managing lead times, standard cost, pricing and supplier performance.
• Monitor product velocity, seasonality, and demand shifts to optimise stocking strategies.
• Partner with Sales and Warehouse teams to align purchasing with customer projects.
• Track and report on key metrics such as fill rates, stock turns, and forecast accuracy.

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, inventory planning or demand forecasting, ideally in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Business Central.
• Excellent communication and problem solving abilities.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
