Maintenance Technician

Overview

Seeking part-time maintenance. Mostly outdoor, landscaping projects. Water line and sewer line experience a plus.

Compensation: $24 - $27 hourly

• Plan and implement preventative maintenance procedures to maximize equipment operations and minimize safety risks
• Examine building windows, walls, and doors for damage and perform repairs when needed
• Conduct routine maintenance on equipment and systems such as HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and electrical wiring to make sure they’re operating efficiently and make any needed repairs
• Manage other maintenance requests as required
• Record when any equipment was serviced and repairs were made
• Daily community clean-up
• Landscaping
• Lawn mowing/lawn care
• Trimming and edging grounds
• General cleanup of grounds
• Light electrical
• Light plumbing
• Light painting and carpentry
• Miscellaneous general maintenance duties as assigned by the community manager
• Physical demands include bending, pushing/pulling, lifting/carrying more than 50 lbs
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance measures to keep our equipment operating efficiently and prevent any safety risks
• Record when any equipment was serviced and repairs were made

• Over 2 years of maintenance experience
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent
• Knowledge of heating and air conditioning units, plumbing systems, and electrical systems
• Needs to have availability to respond on nights and weekends to on-call maintenance requests
• Stellar communication skills, attention to detail, and work ethic
• Knowledge of water meters, sewer systems
• Safe use of maintenance equipment, techniques, and procedures
• 2+ years of similar maintenance experience
• Available for occasional emergency repairs. These do not occur often.
