Job Overview
The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
- Perform Hazardous Waste responsibilities, including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment
- Maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
- Stop at‑risk behavior of others and self
- Perform work assignments in a team with other employees
- Maintain clean work area
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules
- Take direction and respond to supervision
- Talk with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers in a professional manner
- Fill in during staff shortage
- Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items
- Use proper personal protective equipment
- Present a professional appearance and conduct
- Understand customer service and satisfaction
- Understand reporting systems and the environment
- Perform repetitive tasks
Qualifications
Education and Experience
:
No specific education requirement; 3–6 months of training or experience preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
:
May be required to have a valid driver’s license, completed all safety and task training certification, and may need to be forklift certified.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Bilingual an advantage
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment, and willingness to share with the team
- Knowledge of the upkeep and care of cleaning equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use
Supervisory Responsibilities – This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation: $14.00–$15.00 per hour
Shift: 5 pm–1:30 am
