Maintenance Tech

Cardinal Staffing Services is hiring a Facilities Maintenance Technician for a warehouse and distribution facility in Whitehouse, OH. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on maintenance professional who enjoys troubleshooting, completing building repairs, and keeping facility operations running smoothly.

Pay: $26.00–$29.00/hour, depending on experience and fit

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Overtime:
Extended hours may be needed, including occasional Sundays during peak seasons or for projects with deadlines.

• Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and routine facility inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair minor electrical issues, including lighting, outlets, switches, and fixtures.
• Complete basic plumbing repairs, painting, touch‑ups, and minor carpentry work.
• Inspect roofs, gutters, and drainage systems for leaks, damage, or maintenance needs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment.
• Identify potential maintenance issues and address them before they affect operations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection reports, and service records.
• Monitor maintenance supplies, tools, and replacement parts.
• Conduct facility safety inspections and report hazards or major repair needs.
• Coordinate with outside contractors and service providers for specialized repairs and maintenance projects.
• Respond to maintenance requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency and operational needs.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe maintenance and facility areas.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or general maintenance experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
• Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Reliable attendance and willingness to work extended hours as needed.

• Experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
• Trade school, vocational training, or certifications in maintenance or electrical systems.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
• Forklift or aerial lift certification.
• First Aid and CPR certification.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to safely access rooftops and elevated areas for inspections and maintenance.
